LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #224
As of 4PM today, October 24, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 367,819, after 2,057 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 442 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 313,112.
Note: Of the 2,057 reported cases today, 1,892 (92%) occurred within the recent 14 days (October 11 - October 24, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (506 or 27%), Region 4A (369 or 20%) and CAR (142 or 8%).
Of the 19 deaths, 16 occurred in October (84%), 2 in September (11%) and 1 in April (5%). Deaths were from NCR (8 or 42%), Region 6 (3 or 16%), Region 4A (3 or 16%), Region 7 (2 or 11%), Region 9 (1 or 5%), CAR (1 or 5%), and one for validation (1 or 5%).
37 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 21 were recovered cases.
12 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 23, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
