LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #215
As of 4PM today, October 15, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 348,698, after 2,261 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 385 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 294,161.
Note: Of the 2,261 reported cases today, 1,921 (85%) occurred within the recent 14 days (October 2 - October 15, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (456 or 24%), Region 4A (398 or 21%) and Region 8 (176 or 9%).
Of the 50 deaths, 34 occurred in October (68%), 9 in September (18%) 5 in August (10%) 1 in July (2%) and 1 in June (2%). Deaths were from NCR (14 or 28%), Region 6 (12 or 24%), Region 3 (4 or 8%), Region 7 (4 or 8%), Region 10 (3 or 6%), Region 11 (3 or 6%), Region 1 (2 or 4%), Region 5 (2 or 4%), Region 4A (2 or 4%), CARAGA (2 or 4%), Region 9 (1 or 2%), and BARMM (1 or 2%).
99 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 77 recovered cases and 2 deaths have been removed.
Moreover, 7 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.
14 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 14, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
