124 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 147 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY

As of 7PM today, October 27, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the regions total number of COVID-19 cases at 6,481, total recoveries at 5,482 (84.59%), total deaths at 61 (with 60 (0.93%) COVID-19 related deaths and one (1) non-COVID related death). This brings the total active cases to 938 (14.47%).

A total of 124 new cases were recorded out of 1,037 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 795 laboratory results. Of these, 681 are negative and 114 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 242 laboratory results. Of these, 218 are negative and 24 are positive for COVID-19 (with 10 new cases and 14 reswabs).

The 124 new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:
