LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #201
As of 4PM today, October 1, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 314,079, after 2,415 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 771 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 254,223.
Note: Of the 2,415 reported cases today, 2,010 (83%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 18 - October 1, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (727 or 36%), Region 4A (450 or 22%) and Region 3 (162 or 8%).
Of the 59 deaths, 37 occurred in September (63%), 10 in August (17%) 9 in July (15%) 1 in June (2%) and 2 in April (3%). Deaths were from NCR (26 or 44%), Region 7 (7 or 12%), Region 6 (6 or 10%), Region 1 (5 or 8%), Region 9 (4 or 7%), Region 10 (3 or 5%), Region 4A (3 or 5%), Region 5 (2 or 3%), CARAGA (2 or 3%), and Region 3 (1 or 2%).
30 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 19 recovered cases and a death have been removed.
Moreover, 17 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified to deaths after final validation.
7 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on September 30, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
