LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #205
As of 4PM today, October 5, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 324,762, after 2,291 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 87 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 273,123.
Note: Of the 2,291 reported cases today, 1,992 (87%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 22 - October 5, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (698 or 35%), Region 4A (488 or 24%) and Region 6 (169 or 8%).
Of the 64 deaths, 7 occurred in October (11%), 34 in September (53%) 8 in August (12%) 14 in July (22%) and 1 in May (2%). Deaths were from NCR (37 or 58%), Region 6 (6 or 9%), Region 3 (4 or 6%), Region 4A (4 or 6%), Region 10 (3 or 5%), BARMM (2 or 3%), CAR (2 or 3%), CARAGA (2 or 3%), Region 2 (1 or 2%), Region 5 (1 or 2%), Region 7 (1 or 2%), and Region 12 (1 or 2%).
26 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 18 were recovered cases.
Moreover, 25 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
17 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 4, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
