LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #203
As of 4PM today, October 3, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 319,330, after 2,674 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 459 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 255,046.
Note: Of the 2,674 reported cases today, 2,237 (84%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 20 - October 3, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (865 or 39%), Region 4A (567 or 25%) and Region 3 (157 or 7%).
Of the 62 deaths, 2 occurred in October (3%), 47 in September (76%) 6 in August (10%) 5 in July (8%) 1 in June (2%) and 1 in May (2%). Deaths were from NCR (20 or 32%), CARAGA (8 or 13%), Region 7 (6 or 10%), Region 6 (4 or 6%), Region 11 (4 or 6%), Region 4A (4 or 6%), Region 2 (3 or 5%), Region 3 (3 or 5%), Region 10 (3 or 5%), Region 1 (2 or 3%), CAR (2 or 3%), Region 5 (1 or 2%), Region 8 (1 or 2%), and BARMM (1 or 2%).
22 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 11 were recovered cases.
Moreover, 19 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
10 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 2, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
