58 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 40 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON SATURDAY

As of 5PM today, October 3, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 4,884, total recoveries at 4,178 (85.54%), and total deaths at 46( 0.94%). This brings the total active cases to 660 (13.51%).

A total of 58 new cases were recorded out of 1,063 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 757 laboratory results. Of these, 712 are negative and 45 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 306 laboratory results. Of these, 282 are negative and 24 are positive for COVID-19 (with 13 new cases and 11 reswabs).

The 58 new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

Palo - 1

Tabango - 1 (LSI)

Tanauan - 2

Tolosa - 1

San Miguel - 1
