59 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 67 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY

 

As of 7PM today, October 28, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 6,540, total recoveries at 5,549 (84.85), and total COVID-19 deaths at 60 (0.92%). This brings the total active cases to 931 (14.24%).

A total of 59 new cases were recorded out of 1,059 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 746 laboratory results. Of these, 696 are negative and 50 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 313 laboratory results. Of these, 275 are negative and 38 are positive for COVID-19 (with 9 new cases and 29 reswabs).

The 59 new confirmed cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:
