43 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 69 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON MONDAY

 

As of 7PM today, October 12, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 5,321, total recoveries at 4,665 (87.67%), and total deaths at 51 (0.96%). This brings the total active cases to 605 (11.37%).

A total of 43 new cases were recorded out of 437 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 374 laboratory results. Of these, 339 are negative and 35 are positive for COVID-19 (34 new cases and 1 reswab).

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 63 laboratory results. Of these, 54 are negative and 9 are positive for COVID-19.

The 43 new cases are from the following provinces/cities/municipalities: 

Tacloban City (1)

LEYTE (8)

Babatngon - 1 (LSI)

Hilongos - 1 (Close Contact)

Leyte - 5 (LSIs)

Tabango - 1

SAMAR (33)

Calbiga - 1 (LSI)

Calbayog - 23 (Close Contact)

Catbalogan - 9 (Close Contact)

EASTERN SAMAR (1)

Taft - 1
