46 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 89 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY

 

As of 7PM today, October 29, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 6,586, total recoveries at 5,638 (85.61%), and total COVID-19 deaths at 61 (0.93%). This brings the total active cases to 887 (13.47%).

A total of 46 new cases were recorded out of  783 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of  506 laboratory results. Of these, 480 are negative and 26 are positive for COVID-19 (with 25 new cases and 1 reswab).

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 277 laboratory results. Of these, 245 are negative and 32 are positive for COVID-19 (with 21 new cases and 11 reswabs).

The 46 new confirmed cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

On the other hand, the additional COVID-19 death recorded today is EV-6412, a 67/M from Catarman, Northern Samar who died on October 27, 2020.

Other details will be provided by the concerned LGU.
