DOH - Eastern Visayas COVID 19 UPDATE 11/12/20

NEWS UPDATE:

67 NEW COVID-19 CASES, 1 DEATH AND 46 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON THURSDAY

 

As of 7PM on Thursday, November 12, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 7,701, total recoveries at 6,925 (89.92%), and total deaths at 73 (0.95%). This brings the total active cases to 703 (9.13%).

A total of 67 new cases were recorded out of 962 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 605 laboratory results. Of these, 564 are negative and 41 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 357 laboratory results. Of these, 328 are negative and 29 are positive for COVID-19 (with 26 new cases and 3 reswabs).

The  new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

ORMOC CITY (6) - 3 Close Contacts,  1 LSI,  2 No details

   Palo - 10 (6 Close Contacts,  2 LSI,  1 admitted in hospital,  1 no detail)

   Tanauan - 1 (Close Contact)

On the other hand, the new COVID-19 death recorded today is EV-6889, a 60-year-old, male, from Tacloban City who died on November 11, 2020.
