DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH EASTERN VISAYAS COVID 19 UPDATE 11/20/20

JUST IN:

64 NEW COVID-19 CASES, ONE (1) DEATH, AND 80 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON FRIDAY
 
As of 7PM yesterday, November 20, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 8,196, total recoveries at 7,486 (91.34%), and total deaths at 80 (0.98%). This brings the total active cases to 630 (7.69%).

A total of 64 new cases were recorded out of 952 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 743 laboratory results. Of these, 683 are negative and 60 are positive for COVID-19 (with58 new cases and 2 reswabs).

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 209 laboratory results. Of these, 199 are negative and 10 are positive for COVID-19 (with 6 new cases and 4 reswabs).

The 64 new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

   Giporlos - 3

On the other hand, the new COVID-19 death recorded today is EV-7274, an 80-year-old, male, from Basey, Samar who died on yesterday, November 19, 2020.

Other details will be provided by the concerned LGU.

We have untagged one (1) case who is an APOR from Makati City. Hence, the adjustment of our total case count.
