100 NEW COVID-19 CASES, ONE (1) DEATH AND  72 RECOVERIES RECORDED, THURSDAY

 

As of 7PM on Thursday, November 5, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 7,147, total recoveries at 6,451 (90.26%) and total deaths at 67 (0.94%). This brings the total active cases to 629 (8.80%).

A total of 100 new cases were recorded out of 1,145 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 801 laboratory results. Of these, 723 are negative and 78 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 344 laboratory results. Of these, 316 are negative and 28 are positive for COVID-19 (with 22 new cases and 6 reswabs).

The 100 new confirmed cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

On the other hand, the new COVID-19 death recorded today is EV-6613, a 48/M, from Dalakit, Catarman, Northen Samar who died on November 3, 2020. He is our 67th COVID-19 mortality.

Other details will be provided by the concerned LGU.

One (1) case previously tagged as reswab from San Jose, Northern Samar was reclassified as new case upon verification. Hence, the adjustment of our total case count.
