DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH EASTERN VISAYAS COVID 19 UPDATE 11/21/20

NEWS UPDATE:

79 NEW COVID-19 CASES, TWO (2) DEATHS, AND 57 RECOVERIES RECORDED, SATURDAY

 

As of 7PM Yesterday, November 21, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 8,274, total recoveries at 7,543 (91.17%), and total deaths at 82 (0.99%). This brings the total active cases to 649 (7.84%).

A total of 79 new cases were recorded out of 1,122 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 783 laboratory results. Of these, 725 are negative and 58 are positive for COVID-19 (with 57 new cases and 1 reswab).

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 339 laboratory results. Of these, 314 are negative and 25 are positive for COVID-19 (with 22 new cases and 3 reswabs).

The 79 new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

On the other hand, the COVID-19 deaths recorded today are as follows:

EV-6957, 48/M, from Catarman, Northern Samar who died on November 5, 2020

EV-7050, 5/M, from Maslog, Eastern Samar who died on November 19, 2020.

Other details will be provided by the concerned LGU.

One (1) case previously tagged as new case from Catarman, Northern Samar was reclassified as reswab upon verification. Hence, the adjustment of our total case count.
