Today, the DFA reports one new fatality from COVID-19 among our nationals in the Americas. Meanwhile, 18 new confirmed cases and 12 new recoveries were recorded in Asia and the Pacific.
The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amidst the pandemic.

The DFA reports 3 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1 new recovery in Asia and the Pacific. Meanwhile, no new COVID-19 fatality was reported.
To date, the Middle East and Africa remains to be the region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, under treatment, and fatalities among our nationals. The Americas has the least numbers in all categories compared to other geographic regions, except in the total number of deaths, wherein Asia and the Pacific ranks lowest with a total of only 9.

UPDATE: As of 6:00PM of December 08, 2020, the PNP Health Service recorded 68 new recoveries today bringing the total number of personnel who recovered from COVID-19 to 7,957
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the PNP organization is 8,390 with 406 active cases and 27 deaths.

Ngayong 4 PM, Disyembre 7, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 1,574 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 80 na gumaling at 18 na pumanaw.
Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 5.5% (24,125) ang aktibong kaso, 92.6% (408,702) na ang gumaling, at 1.94% (8,572) ang namatay.

Ngayong 4 PM, Disyembre 8, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 1,400 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 139 na gumaling at 98 na pumanaw.

15 NEW COVID-19 CASES, ONE (1) DEATH AND 110 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
As of 9AM today, December 7, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 9,016, total recoveries at 8,452 (93.74%), and total deaths at 96 (1.06%). This brings the total active cases to 468 (5.19%).
The DWHVL has released a total of 260 laboratory results. Of these, 243 are negative and 17 are positive for COVID-19 (with 15 new cases, 1 reinfection and 1 reswab).

22 NEW COVID-19 CASES, ONE (1) DEATH AND 93 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
As of 9AM today, December 8, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 9,038, total recoveries at 8,545 (94.55%), and total deaths at 97 (1.07%). This brings the total active cases to 396 (4.38%).
A total of 22 new cases were recorded out of 297 laboratory samples tested in the two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.
The EVRCTC has released a total of 186 laboratory results. Of these, 178 are negative and 8 are positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 111 laboratory results. Of these, 97 are negative and 14 are positive for COVID-19.

65 NEW COVID-19 CASES, TWO (2) DEATHS AND 73 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
As of 9AM today, December 10, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 9,185, total recoveries at 8,663 (94.32%), and total deaths at 100 (1.09%). This brings the total active cases to 422 (4.59%).
A total of 65 new cases were recorded out of 925 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.
The EVRCTC has released a total of 545 laboratory results. Of these, 494 are negative, one (1) invalid, and 50 are positive for COVID-19 (with 49 new cases and 1 reswab).
Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 365 laboratory results. Of these, 350 are negative and 15 are positive for COVID-19.
The Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center on the one hand has released a total of 15 laboratory results with 1 positive and 14 negatives.

86 NEW COVID-19 CASES, ONE (1) DEATH AND 45 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
As of 9AM today, December 9, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 9,123, total recoveries at 8,590 (94.16%), and total deaths at 98 (1.07%). This brings the total active cases to 435 (4.77%).
A total of 86 new cases were recorded out of 997 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.
The EVRCTC has released a total of 622 laboratory results. Of these, 587 are negative and 35 are positive for COVID-19 (with 34 new cases and 1 reswab).
Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 325 laboratory results. Of these, 273 are negative and 52 are positive for COVID-19 (with 50 new cases and 2 reswabs).
In addition, the Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center has released a total of 50 laboratory results with 2 positives and 48 negatives for COVID-19.

Today, the DFA received no new COVID-19 updates among Filipinos abroad.
As reported yesterday, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and recoveries remains at 11,699 and 7,578, respectively.
The DFA continues to keep track of the status of overseas Filipinos and stands ready to assist and facilitate repatriations, whenever possible.
