NEWS UPDATE

1. Department of Foreign Affairs PH

Figures on Wednesday show 11 new confirmed cases, 6 new recoveries, and no new fatality due to COVID-19 among Filipinos in Asia and the Pacific and Europe. To date, the total number of countries and territories with confirmed cases among Filipinos remains at 82.

The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, remains fully committed to monitoring and assisting our nationals abroad amidst this ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

2. Philippine National Police
UPDATE: As of 6:00PM of December 2, 2020, the PNP Health Service recorded 30 new recoveries today bringing the total number of personnel who recovered from COVID-19 to 7,773.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the PNP organization is 8,212 with 412 active cases.
One new death was also recorded by the Health Service bringing the total number of personnel who died from COVID-19 to 27.

3. Department of Health PH Headquarters
DOH reports 1,438 new cases on Wednesday. This marks the second consecutive day of less than 1,500 daily cases.

This brings the total to 434,357 cases with 26,916 active.

18 new deaths, 8,436 total
232 new recoveries, 399,005 total.

Ngayong 4 PM, Disyembre 2, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 1,438 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 232 na gumaling at 18 na pumanaw.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 6.2% (26,916) ang aktibong kaso, 91.9% (399,005) na ang gumaling, at 1.94% (8,436) ang namatay.

4. Department of Health Central Visayas
ERRATUM. Additional 5 new cases in the Province of Negros Oriental was recorded out of the 99 laboratory results released from Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital Molecular Laboratory.

As of today, December 2, 2020, DOH CVCHD reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 24,205.

DOH CVCHD also recorded 154 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 21,871.

6. Department of Health Eastern Visayas
JUST IN:

57 NEW COVID-19 CASES, TWO (2) DEATHS AND 40 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON WEDNESDAY
 

As of 7PM WEDNESDAY, December 2, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 8,840, total recoveries at 8,173 (92.45%), and total deaths at 92 (1.04%). This brings the total active cases to 575 (6.50%).

A total of 57 new cases were recorded out of 1,048 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 739 laboratory results. Of these, 701 are negative and 38 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 309 laboratory results. Of these, 287 are negative and 22 are positive for COVID-19 (with 19 new cases, 1 reswab, 1 reinfection and 1 APOR).

The 57 new cases are from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

EV-8169, 80/M, from San Antonio, Northern Samar who died on November 30, 2020

EV-8673, 86/F, from Villareal, Samar who died on November 30, 2020.

Other details will be provided by the concerned LGU.
