Province of Abra, Philippines - Two Abra teachers painted a message to learners and parents about the crisis and "new normal in education."
Using stones and paint, Teacher Josephine Macario and Teacher Crystal Galang draw different images.
According to Teacher Josephine of Tiempo Elementary School, this medium was canvassed and "stone art" began when the Central lockdown began. His story, other than relaxing, is also practical as it can no longer afford canvass cloth and can be displayed immediately.
Teacher Crystal of Supo Elementary School has been painting for years, too. In fact, he had children who were also taught.
With this colorful art, Teacher Josephine wants to convey the message that there is a colorful waiting behind the crisis we are experiencing.
"Hopefully, we can be as strong as a large rock, even though strong currents or currents will not flow easily. We will also be able to tolerate the beautiful sunlight," said Teacher Josephine.
Inspired to learn what Teacher Crystal wants to convey. Not even going to school this SY 2020-2021, there are many ways to continue education.
"While we are not allowed to go out, we can do educational activities at home such as reading and other activities related to education ... I always monitor my pupils and keep on motivating the parents to always guide and assist their children. advise parents to motivate their kids to read and learn all the time, "it said.
Rock and paint — simple pieces of art that symbolize teachers 'strong dedication to achieving learners' bright and vibrant openness.
