DFA Recorded 74 New CoViD-19 Cases Abroad; Total Now 8,762

Manila, Philippines - The Department of Foreign Affairs has said on Wednesday, July 8 that COVID-19 cases among Filipinos overseas has increased to 8,762 after  74 more infections have been recorded. Another 19 have recovered and the total number of recoveries has reached 5,237, while 13 more died, with the death toll now rising to 590. There are 2,935 active cases.
Most of the cases and all 13 deaths for July 8 are coming from the Middle Eastern Countries while recoveries are all distributed in Asia Pacific Europe and the Middle East.
The DFA also received a report from another country from the African continent which brings the number of countries and regions with CoViD-19 infected Filipino Nationals 83, rising from the previous number of 62.
