80 NEW COVID-19 CASES, TWO (2) DEATHS AND 18 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
As of 7PM today, November 25, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 8,450, total recoveries at 7,745 (91.66%), and total deaths at 86 (1.02%). This brings the total active cases to 619 (7.33%).
A total of 80 new cases were recorded out of 1,388 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.
The EVRCTC has released a total of 1,038 laboratory results. Of these, 963 are negative and 75 are positive for COVID-19 (with 74 new cases and 1 reinfection from Barugo, Leyte).
Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 350laboratory results. Of these, 342 are negative and 8 are positive for COVID-19 (with 6 new cases and 2 reswabs).
The 80 new cases are from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

EV-8282, 52/M, from Oras, Eastern Samar who died on November 21, 2020
EV-8096, 81/M, from Palo, Leyte who died on November 23, 2020
Other details will be provided by the concerned LGU.
One (1) case previously tagged as a new case from Tacloban City was reclassified as a reswab upon verification. Hence, the adjustment of our total case count.
