LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #195
As of 4PM today, September 25, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 299,361, after 2,630 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 494 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 232,399.
Note: Of the 2,630 reported cases today, 2,327 (88%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 12 - September 25, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (921 or 40%), Region 4A (589 or 25%) and Region 6 (169 or 7%).
Of the 69 deaths, 43 occurred in September (62%), 8 in August (12%) 7 in July (10%) 10 in June (14%) and 1 in May (1%). Deaths were from NCR (33 or 48%), Region 3 (11 or 16%), Region 4A (9 or 13%), Region 6 (8 or 12%), Region 7 (2 or 3%), Region 10 (2 or 3%), Region 5 (1 or 1%), Region 11 (1 or 1%), Region 4B (1 or 1%), and BARMM (1 or 1%).
24 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 8 were recovered cases.
Moreover, 15 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified to deaths after final validation.
3 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on September 24, 2020. These labs are:
1. Daniel O. Mercado Medical Center
2. Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory
3. Safeguard DNA Diagnostics
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
