As of 4PM today, September 17, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 276,289, after 3,375 cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 317 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 208,096.
Note: Of the 3,375 reported cases today, 2,519 (75%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 4 - September 17, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (742 or 29%), Region 4A (482 or 19%) and Region 6 (249 or 10%).
Of the 53 deaths, 36 occurred in September (68%), 13 in August (25%) and 4 in July (8%). Deaths were from NCR (25 or 47%), Region 4A (12 or 23%), Region 6 (4 or 8%), Region 10 (4 or 8%), Region 9 (3 or 6%), Region 3 (1 or 2%), Region 5 (1 or 2%), Region 4B (1 or 2%), CAR (1 or 2%), and among ROF (1 or 2%).
There were 19 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 11 recovered cases have been removed.
In addition, there's one (1) recovered case found to be negative and was removed from the total case count after final validation.
Moreover, there were sixty-seven (67) cases that were previously
reported as recovered but after final validation, they were deaths
(11) and active (56) cases.
10 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data
Repository System (CDRS) on September 16, 2020. These labs are:

9. Taguig City Molecular Laboratory
10. Valenzuela Hope Molecular Laboratory
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
