LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #194
As of 4PM today, September 24, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 296,755, after 2,180 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 580 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 231,928.
Note: Of the 2,180 reported cases today, 1,825 (84%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 11 - September 24, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (617 or 34%), Region 4A (588 or 32%), and Region 6 (156 or 9%).
Of the 36 deaths, 23 occurred in September (64%), 7 in August (19%) 2 in July (6%) 2 in June (6%) 1 in May (3%) and 1 in April (3%). Deaths were from NCR (15 or 42%), Region 6 (7 or 19%), Region 7 (7 or 19%), Region 4A (2 or 6%), Region 1 (1 or 3%), Region 3 (1 or 3%), Region 9 (1 or 3%), Region 12 (1 or 3%), and ROF (1 or 3%).
16 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 7 were recovered cases.
Moreover, 18 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified to deaths (17) and an active (1) case.
9 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on September 23, 2020. These labs are:

2. Cotabato Regional Medical Center
3. First Aide Diagnostic Center
4. Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center GX
5. Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center RT-PCR
6. Philippine Red Cross - Logistics and Training- SUBIC, ZAMBALES
7. Safeguard DNA Diagnostics
8. Tropical Disease Foundation
9. Valenzuela Hope Molecular Laboratory
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
ERRATUM: On the September 22 DOH Case Bulletin, the Taguig City Molecular Laboratory was incorrectly included in the list of non-compliant laboratories.
We would like to correct this inclusion as the Taguig City Molecular Laboratory is not yet operational and is currently assembling its information system.
We apologize for the erroneous inclusion and any inconvenience it may have caused.
