As of 4PM today, September 19, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 283,460, after 3,962 cases newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.

DOH likewise announces 1,128 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 209,885.

Note: Of the 3,962 reported cases today, 3,286 (83%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 6 - September 19, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (1,199 or 36%), Region 4A (780 or 24%) and Region 3 (446 or 14%).

Of the 100 deaths, 66 occurred in September (66%), 16 in August (16%) 7 in July (7%) 4 in June (4%) and 7 in April (7%). Deaths were from NCR (52 or 52%), Region 4A (14 or 14%), Region 6 (10 or 10%), Region 3 (6 or 6%), Region 10 (5 or 5%), Region 2 (3 or 3%), Region 5 (3 or 3%), Region 1 (2 or 2%), Region 7 (1 or 1%), Region 8 (1 or 1%), BARMM (1 or 1%), CAR (1 or 1%), and CARAGA (1 or 1%).

Twenty-seven (27) duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 15 were recovered cases.

In addition, one (1) recovered, verified to be a foreign national, was also removed from the total case count.

Moreover, seventeen (17) cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths after final validation.

10 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on September 18, 2020. These labs are:

2. Dr. Jorge P. Royeca Hospital
3. Kaiser Medical Center Inc.
4. Lanao del Norte Covid-19 Testing Laboratory
5. Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (GX)
6. Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (RT-PCR)
7. Research Institute for Tropical Medicine
8. Safeguard DNA Diagnostics
9. Taguig City Molecular Laboratory
10. Valenzuela Hope Molecular Laboratory

These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
