LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #196
As of 4PM today, September 26, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 301,256, after 2,747 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 787 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 232,906.
Note: Of the 2,747 reported cases today, 2,471 (90%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 13 - September 26, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (962 or 39%), Region 4A (419 or 17%) and Region 6 (233 or 9%).
Of the 88 deaths, 62 occurred in September (70%), 13 in August (15%) 8 in July (9%) 4 in June (5%) and 1 in April (1%). Deaths were from NCR (36 or 41%), Region 4A (15 or 17%), Region 7 (6 or 7%), Region 12 (6 or 7%), Region 3 (5 or 6%), Region 6 (5 or 6%), Region 2 (4 or 5%), Region 9 (3 or 3%), Region 10 (2 or 2%), CARAGA (2 or 2%), Region 1 (1 or 1%), Region 8 (1 or 1%), Region 11 (1 or 1%), and BARMM (1 or 1%).
There were 852 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 259 were recovered cases.
Moreover, 21 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified to deaths after final validation.
3 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on September 25, 2020. These labs are:
1. Dr. Jorge P. Royeca Hospital
2. Philippine Heart Center
3. Safeguard DNA Diagnostics
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
