LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #190
As of 4PM today, September 20, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 286,743, after 3,311 cases newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 20,021 recoveries(625 from routine reports and 19,396 were time-based recoveries). This brings the total number of recoveries to 229,865.
Note: Of the 3,311 reported cases today, 2,774 (84%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 7 - September 20, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (1,182 or 43%), Region 4A (555 or 20%) and Region 6 (299 or 11%).
Of the 55 deaths, 33 occurred in September (60%), 17 in August (31%) and 5 in July (9%). Deaths were from NCR (29 or 53%), Region 7 (6 or 11%), Region 6 (5 or 9%), Region 4A (4 or 7%), Region 5 (3 or 5%), BARMM (3 or 5%), Region 1 (2 or 4%), Region 3 (1 or 2%), Region 8 (1 or 2%), and CARAGA (1 or 2%).
Twenty-nine (29) duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 14 recovered cases and 1 death have been removed. However, one case was reactivated after further validation.
Moreover, twenty-eight (28) cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified to deaths (25) and active (3) cases after final validation.
7 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on September 19, 2020. These labs are: 1. AFRIMS- Collaborative Molecular Laboratory (VLUNA) 2. Dr. Jorge P. Royeca Hospital 3. Kaiser Medical Center Inc. 4. Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital - GeneXpert Laboratory 5. Taguig City Molecular Laboratory 6. University of Perpetual Help System Dalta 7. Valenzuela Hope Molecular Laboratory
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
