The CoronaVirus Disease cases continues to climb as we get closer to Christmas. Here are the latest updates on COVID-19 throughout the Weekend, December 18-20, 2020.

A. Department of Foreign Affairs

The DFA reports another spike in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad, with 45 new cases in Asia and the Pacific and the Middle East and Africa. Meanwhile, 13 new recoveries and no new fatality were recorded. The reported increase is due to late reports received from one territory in the Asia Pacific region.

The DFA personnel in our Foreign Service Posts remain steadfast in partnering with local health authorities and agencies to ensure Filipinos'  awareness of and adherence to preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, and commit to tirelessly attending to the needs of our people affected by this pandemic, whenever possible.

The DFA reports another spike in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad, with 45 new cases in Asia and the Pacific and the Middle East and Africa. Meanwhile, 13 new recoveries and no new fatality were recorded. The reported increase is due to late reports received from one territory in the Asia Pacific region.

The DFA received reports of 4 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1 new recovery, and 3 new fatalities today among our nationals in the Americas.

To date, the total number of confirmed cases is at 12,627; total fatalities at 866; total recoveries at 8,127; and total DOH IHR verified cases at 3,408.

The DFA remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the pandemic and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare.

B. Philippine National Police
UPDATE: As of 6:00PM of December 18, 2020, the PNP Health Service recorded 28 new recoveries today bringing the total number of personnel who recovered from COVID-19 to 8,250
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the PNP organization is 8,669 with 392 active cases and 27 deaths.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the PNP organization is 8,702 with 408 active cases and 27 deaths.

C. Department of Health HQ
Ngayong 4 PM, Disyembre 18, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 2,122 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 778 na gumaling at 25 na pumanaw.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 5.9% (27,021) ang aktibong kaso, 92.1% (420,666) na ang gumaling, at 1.94% (8,875) ang namatay.

Ngayong 4 PM, Disyembre 19, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 1,491 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 436 na gumaling at 36 na pumanaw.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 6.1% (28,047) ang aktibong kaso, 91.9% (421,086) na ang gumaling, at 1.95% (8,911) ang namatay.

Ngayong 4 PM, Disyembre 20, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 1,754 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 8,080 na gumaling at 36 na pumanaw.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 4.7% (21,708) ang aktibong kaso, 93.3% (429,134) na ang gumaling, at 1.95% (8,947) ang namatay.

LOOK. DOH Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) COVID-19 Case Bulletin #183

As of today, December 18, 2020, DOH CVCHD reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 24,639.

DOH CVCHD also recorded 20 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 22,654.

JUST IN:

57 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 62 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 

As of 9AM today, December 18, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 9,900, total recoveries at 9,052 (91.43%), and total deaths at 109 (1.10%). This brings the total active cases to 739 (7.46%).

A total of 57 new cases were recorded out of 1,131 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 515 laboratory results. Of these, 484 are negative and 31 are positive for COVID-19 (with 30 new cases and 1 reswab).

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 519 laboratory results. Of these, 503 are negative and 16 are positive for COVID-19 (with 15 new cases and 1 reswab).

Also, the newly operated Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center has released a total of 97 laboratory results with 12 positives and 85 negatives.

103 NEW COVID-19 CASES, TWO (2) DEATHS AND 180 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 

As of 9AM today, December 19, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 10,002, total recoveries at 9,232 (92.30%), and total deaths at 111 (1.11%). This brings the total active cases to 659 (6.59%).

A total of 103 new cases were recorded out of 1,139 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 550 laboratory results. Of these, 483 are negative, 1 is invalid and 66 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 506 laboratory results. Of these, 471 are negative and 35 are positive for COVID-19 (with 30 new cases, 1 reinfection and 4 reswabs).

The Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center has also released a total of 83 laboratory results with 7 positives and 76 negatives.

124 NEW COVID-19 CASES, FIVE (5) DEATHS AND TWO (2) RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 

As of 9AM today, December , 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 10,125, total recoveries at 9,234 (91.20%) and total deaths at 116 (1.15%). This brings the total active cases to 775 (7.65%).

A total of 124 new cases were recorded out of 877 laboratory samples tested in the two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 392 laboratory results. Of these, 274 are negative and 118 are positive for COVID-19 (with 115 new cases, 1 reinfection and 2 reswabs).

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 485 laboratory results. Of these, 475 are negative and 10 are positive for COVID-19 (with 9 new cases and 1 reswab).
