LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #210
As of 4PM today, October 10, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 336,926, after 2,249 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 842 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 276,094.
Note: Of the 2,249 reported cases today, 1,951 (87%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 27 - October 10, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (549 or 28%), Region 4A (446 or 23%) and Region 6 (250 or 13%).
Of the 87 deaths, 36 occurred in October (41%), 40 in September (46%) 6 in August (7%) 3 in July (3%) 1 in June (1%) and 1 in April (1%). Deaths were from NCR (28 or 32%), Region 6 (16 or 18%), Region 4A (15 or 17%), CARAGA (10 or 11%), Region 3 (3 or 3%), Region 12 (3 or 3%), Region 1 (2 or 2%), Region 2 (2 or 2%), Region 9 (2 or 2%), Region 5 (1 or 1%), Region 8 (1 or 1%), Region 11 (1 or 1%), Region 4B (1 or 1%), BARMM (1 or 1%), and CAR (1 or 1%).
89 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 17 recovered cases and a death have been removed.
In addition, 4 recovered cases found to be negative and were removed from the total case count after final validation.
Moreover, 34 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.
17 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 9, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
