12 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 41 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY

As of 5PM today, October 10, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 5,270, total recoveries at 4,574 (86.79%), and total deaths at 51 (0.97%). This brings the total active cases to 645 (12.24%).

A total of 12 new cases were recorded out of 676 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 418 laboratory results. Of these, 410 are negative and 8 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 258 laboratory results. Of these, 254 are negative and 4 are positive for COVID-19.

The 12 new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities: 

Tacloban City (6)

LEYTE (5)

Alang-alang - 1

Carigara - 1

Mahaplag - 2 (LSIs)

Tolosa - 1 (LSI)

NORTHERN SAMAR (1)

Mondragon - 1

Other details will be provided by the concerned LGU.
