As of 4PM today, October 7, 2020, the Department of Health reports the
total number of COVID-19 cases at 329,637, after 2,825 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 437 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 273,723.
Note: Of the 2,825 reported cases today, 2,233 (79%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 24 - October 7, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (746 or 33%), Region 4A (627 or 28%) and Region 3 (211 or 9%).

Of the 60 deaths, 26 occurred in October (43%), 20 in September (33%) 6 in August (10%) and 8 in July (13%). Deaths were from NCR (23 or 38%), Region 4A (12 or 20%), Region 6 (8 or 13%), Region 3 (6 or 10%), Region 11 (3 or 5%), Region 2 (2 or 3%), Region 10 (2 or 3%), CARAGA (2 or 3%), and Region 5 (1 or 2%).

21 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 13 were recovered cases.

Moreover, 14 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths after final validation.

12 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 6, 2020.

These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
