Multiple Disease Outbreaks on the Rise as PH poses travel ban on China.


UPDATE|As China's NCoV-ARD (Novel Coronavirus Acute Respiratory Disease) continues to climb, Philippines has now imposed a travel ban on the People's Republic of China after DOH confims the second case of the Coronavirus in the Philippines. That patient, a 44-year old male, died yesterday at a hospital in Metro Manila. About 80 people are Patients Under Investigation for potential cases of NCoV-ARD here in the Philippines.

As of today, February 3, 2020, there are around 17,368 cases where confirmed around the globe, with mostly coming from China. 362 people died due to the disease and 486 people recovered. Philippines is the second country in the world after China to have reported the first casualty due to the NCoV-ARD Virus according to WHO PH on Sunday, February 2,2020.

On the other hand, this heartbreaking photo of a mother from Hubei, China begged the police at a checkpoint in Jiujiang, China to let her child cross the barriers amid the NCoV-ARD outbreak to have her child Chemotherapy due to Leukemia, a cancer in the blood. The police led them to an ambulance.

On the Hunan Province of China, about 8,000 chickens died due to the H5N1 Bird Flu Virus according to the World Health Organization. The agency is also monitoring the progess of this contagious disease.

On Taiwan, about 13 people died in a week and about 116,705 others reported flu-like symptoms in the country due to H1N1 Swine Flu Virus.
