COVID-19 UPDATES FOR NOVEMBER 8, 2020 BY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS COVID-19 UPDATE
November 8, 2020

On Sunday, the DFA received no new updates on confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, and fatalities among our nationals abroad. Meanwhile, there are 2 new DOH-IHR verified cases from Asia and the Pacific.

To date, the total number of confirmed cases is at 11,423; total fatalities at 828; total recoveries at 7,367; and total DOH IHR verified cases at 2,585.

The DFA remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the pandemic and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare.

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH COVID 19 UPDATE
NOONG 4 PM kahapon, Nobyembre 08, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 2,442 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 11,430 na gumaling at 54 na pumanaw.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 6.9% (27,218) ang aktibong kaso, 91.2% (361,638) na ang gumaling, at 1.90% (7,539) ang namatay.

As of Sunday, November 8, 2020, DOH CVCHD reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 22,740.

DOH CVCHD also recorded 4 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 22,483.

DOH-EV COVID 19 UPDATE

20 NEW COVID-19 CASES, TWO (2) DEATHS AND 44 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON SUNDAY 
As of 1PM on Sunday, November 8, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 7,317, total recoveries at 6,663 (91.06%), and total deaths at 71 (0.97%). This brings the total active cases to 583 (7.97%).

The DWHVL has released a total of 251 laboratory results. Of these, 229 are negative and 22 are positive for COVID-19 (with 20 new cases and 2 reswabs).

The 20 new confirmed cases are from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

157 NEW COVID-19 CASES, 2 DEATHS, AND 416 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON WEDNESDAY - DOH-EV

NEWS UPDATE

157 NEW COVID-19 CASES, 2 DEATHS, AND 416 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON WEDNESDAY
As of 7PM on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 7,046, total recoveries at 6,379 (90.52%), and total deaths at 66 (0.94%). This brings the total active cases to 601 (8.53%).

A total of 157 new cases were recorded out of 1,005 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of  858 laboratory results. Of these, 721 are negative and 137 are positive for COVID-19 (with 136 new cases and 1 reswab).

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 147 laboratory results. Of these, 121 are negative and 26 are positive for COVID-19 (with 21 new cases and 5 reswabs).

One (1) confirmed COVID-19 case, an APOR from Cebu was untagged upon verification and coordination with CESU Tacloban. Hence, the adjustment of our total case count.

DOH-PH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #235

NEWS UPDATE
Noong 4PM kahapon, Nobyembre 04, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 987 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 140 na gumaling at 49 na pumanaw.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 8.2% (31,679) ang aktibong kaso, 89.9% (349,091) na ang gumaling, at 1.90% (7,367) ang namatay.

Note: The relative low report in the new cases is part of the effects of the Typhoon “Rolly”. We further caution that this decrease may still be observed over the next few days, and may be followed by a relative “increase” in newly reported cases in the coming days or week.

ERRATUM (4/11/20, 1830H): For the CASE BULLETIN #235 reported on Novermber 4, 2020, the total number of reported cases previously tagged as recovered and were reclassified as deaths is 6 instead of 13.

61 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 43 RECOVERIES ADDED ON TUESDAY - DOH-EV

NEWS UPDATE:

61 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND  43 RECOVERIES ADDED ON TUESDAY
As of 7PM on Tuesday, November 3 , 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 6,890, total recoveries at 5,963 (86.55%), and total deaths at 64 (0.93%). This brings the total active cases to 863 (12.53%).

A total of 61 new cases were recorded out of 877 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 633 laboratory results. Of these,  582 are negative and 51 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 244 laboratory results. Of these, 233 are negative and 11 are positive for COVID-19 (with 10 new cases and 1 reswab).

The  61 new confirmed cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

Noong 4PM kahapon, Nobyembre 02, 2020, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 2,298 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 87 na gumaling at 32 na pumanaw.
Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 7.6% (29,301) ang aktibong kaso, 90.5% (348,830) na ang gumaling, at 1.89% (7,269) ang namatay.

34 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 25 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON MONDAY
 
As of 7PM on Monday, October 26, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 6,357, total recoveries at 5,335 (83.92%), total deaths at 61 (with 60 (0.94%) COVID-19 related deaths and one (1) non-COVID related death). This brings the total active cases to 961 (15.12%).

A total of 34 new cases were recorded out of 601 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 469 laboratory results. Of these, 445 are negative and 24 are positive for COVID-19 (with 22 new cases and 2 reswabs).

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 132 laboratory results. Of these,  119 are negative and 13 are positive for COVID-19 (with 12 new cases and 1 reswab).

The 34 new confirmed cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

32 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 32 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 
As of 7PM today, October 25, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 6,323, total recoveries at 5,310 (83.98%), total deaths at 59 (with 58 COVID-19 related deaths and one (1) non-COVID related death). This brings the total active cases to 954 (15.09%).

The DWHVL has released a total of 270 laboratory results. Of these, 226 are negative and 44 are positive for COVID-19 (with 32 new cases and 12 reswabs).
The 32 new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #225

As of 4PM today, October 25, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 370,028, after 2,223 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.

DOH likewise announces 14,944 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 328,036.
Note: Of the 2,223 reported cases today, 2,059 (93%) occurred within the recent 14 days (October 12 - October 25, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (537 or 26%), Region 4A (397 or 19%) and Region 3 (165 or 8%).
Of the 43 deaths, 29 occurred in October (67%), 3 in September (7%) 5 in August (12%) 3 in July (7%) 1 in June (2%) and 2 in May (5%). Deaths were from NCR (16 or 37%), Region 4A (8 or 19%), CARAGA (4 or 9%), Region 3 (3 or 7%), Region 12 (3 or 7%), Region 1 (2 or 5%), Region 9 (2 or 5%), Region 5 (1 or 2%), Region 6 (1 or 2%), Region 7 (1 or 2%), Region 10 (1 or 2%), and Region 11 (1 or 2%).
14 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 9 were recovered cases.

Moreover, 11 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.

16 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 24, 2020.

These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.

76 NEW COVID-19 CASES, 2 DEATHS AND 72 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 
As of 7PM today, October 21, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the regeion’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 6,057, total recoveries at 5,164 (85.26%), total COVID-19 deaths at 58 (0.96%) and one (1) non-COVID related death. This brings the total active cases to 834 (13.77%).
A total of 76 new cases were recorded out of 1,014 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 731 laboratory results. Of these, 672 are negative and 59 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 283 laboratory results. Of these, 215 are negative and 68 are positive for COVID-19 (with 17 new cases and 51 reswabs).
The 76 new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

DFA: 23 New CoronaVirus Infections Reported; Total 8,324

Manila, Philippines - The Department of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday said that there were only a few countries that relayed their report to the agency. Thus results in a low confirmed CoViD-19 cases at 23 among Filipinos in abroad.
The total report of CoronaVirus cases among Filipinos abroad tops at 8,324. There are about 2,759 undergoing treatment (active cases) and about 5,057 of the CoViD-19 cases have recovered.
The number of casualties related to the disease is now at 508 with one (1) new death recorded, DFA said.
Regional Cooperative Data analysis shows that the number of CoViD-19 infections in the Middle East comprise of 73 percent (%) of the total number of CoronaVirus cases across the main geographic regions. Large percentage of both recoveries and deaths recorded are coming from the Middle East as well, DFA added.

Moreover, the agency will continue to monitor the progress of thie CoViD-19 pandemic..
