The Philippines continues to see an increase in the number of Novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19🦠😷) cases nationwide.

The Philippines already surpassed 500,000 in the total of COVID-19🦠😷cases in the country.

17 more Filipinos have contracted COVID-19🦠😷 from a male infected with the UK Varient of Covid19.

The DFA confirms no new updates on COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad today.

To date, the total number of confirmed cases remains at 13,543; total fatalities at 935; total recoveries at 8,627; and total DOH IHR verified cases remains at 3,508.

The DFA remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the pandemic and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare.

Today, the DFA reports 48 new COVID-19 cases, 55 new recoveries, and 6 new fatalities among Filipinos abroad. To date, the total number of countries and territories with confirmed cases among Filipinos remains at 84.

The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amidst the pandemic.

Today, the DFA confirms 14 new cases and 2 new recoveries in Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa. Meanwhile, no new COVID-19 fatality was reported. 

To date, the Middle East and Africa remains to be the region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, under treatment, and fatalities among our nationals. The Americas has the least numbers in all categories compared to other geographic regions, except in the total number of deaths, wherein Asia and the Pacific ranks lowest with a total of only 21.

Figures today show 19 new COVID-19 cases, 61 new recoveries, and 3 new fatalities among Filipinos in the Americas, Europe, and Middle East and Africa. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases and recoveries among our nationals abroad to 13,642 and 8,745, respectively.

The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, remains fully committed to monitoring and assisting our nationals abroad amid the pandemic.

The DFA shall continue to keep track of the status of overseas Filipinos, and facilitate repatriations, whenever possible.

The DFA received reports of 127 new COVID-19 cases, 46 new recoveries, and no new fatality among Filipinos in Asia and the Pacific and Europe. The reported spike is due to another surge in COVID-19 cases reported in one country in Europe.

The DFA personnel in our Foreign Service Posts remain steadfast in partnering with local health authorities and commit to tirelessly attending to the needs of our people, whenever possible.

Today, the DFA received reports of 19 new COVID-19 cases, 23 new recoveries and 1 new fatality among Filipino nationals abroad. 

Compared to last week’s percentages, the total number of COVID-19 fatalities and those under treatment saw a slight decrease to 6.86% and 29.15%, respectively. Meanwhile, the number of recoveries slightly increased to 63.99%.

COVID-19 ALERT:

134 NEW COVID-19 CASES, TWO (2) DEATHS, AND 25 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 
As of 10AM today, January 17, 2021, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 12,907, total recoveries at 11, 839 (91.73%), and total deaths at 159(1.23%). This brings the total active cases to 909 (7.04%).

A total of 134 new cases were recorded today. Of these, 133 new confirmed cases out of 1,125 laboratory samples were reported from the two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, and the DWHVL. An additional one (1) confirmed case was reported from Cebu TB Reference Laboratory, Cebu City. The confirmed case from Region 8 was detected at Cebu port where the patient was swabbed upon arrival. 

The EVRCTC has released a total of 805 laboratory results. Of these, 700 are negative, 1 invalid, and 104 are positive (with 102 new cases, and 2 re-swabs) for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 320 laboratory results. Of these, 287 are negative and 33 are positive (with 31 new cases, 1 reinfection, and 1 re-swab) for COVID-19.

As of 9AM today, January 18, 2021, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 12,931, total recoveries at 11,948 (92.40%), and total deaths at 161 (1.25%). This brings the total active cases to 822 (6.36%).

A total of 24 new cases were recorded out of 379 laboratory samples tested in one (1) COVID-19 laboratory in the region, the DWHVL. 

Of the 379 laboratory results released by the DWHVL, 353 are negative and 26 are positive (with 24 new cases and 2 re-swabs) for COVID-19.

As of 10 AM today, January 19, 2021, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 13,009, total recoveries at 12,024 (92.43%) and total deaths at 162(1.25%). This brings the total active cases to 823 (6.33%)

A total of 78 new cases were recorded out of 646 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and the Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 368 laboratory results. Of these, 350 are negative, and 18 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 209 laboratory results. Of these, 162 are negative and 47 are positive for COVID-19.

The Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center has released also a total of 69 laboratory results with 56 negative and 13 positive for COVID-19.

As of 9 AM today, January 20, 2021, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 13,117, total recoveries at 12,048 (91.85%) and total deaths at 166(1.27%). This brings the total active cases to 903 (6.88%)

A total of 108 new cases were recorded out of 1,098 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and the Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 769 laboratory results. Of these, 701 are negative, 1 invalid, and 67 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 292 laboratory results. Of these, 262 are negative and 30 are positive (with 28 new cases and 2 re-swabs) for COVID-19.

The Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center has released also a total of 37 laboratory results with 24 negative and 13 positive for COVID-19.

COVID-19 ALERT:

110 NEW COVID-19 CASES, THREE (3) DEATHS, AND 98 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 
As of 10 AM today, January 21, 2021, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 13,222, total recoveries at 12,146 (91.86%) and total deaths at 169(1.28%). This brings the total active cases to 907 (6.86%)

A total of 110 new cases were recorded out of 1,282 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and the Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 753 laboratory results. Of these, 682 are negative, and 71 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 457 laboratory results. Of these, 418 are negative and 39 are positive (with 30 new cases and 9 re-swabs) for COVID-19.

The Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center has released also a total of 72 laboratory results with 63 negative and 9 positive for COVID-19.

82 NEW COVID-19 CASES,  AND 8 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 
As of 9 AM today, January 22, 2021, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 13,301, total recoveries at 12,154 (91.38%) and total deaths at 169(1.27%). This brings the total active cases to 978 (7.35%)

A total of 82 new cases were recorded out of 1,228 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and the Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 750 laboratory results. Of these, 693 are negative, and 57 are positive (with 56 new cases and 1 re-swab) for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 442 laboratory results. Of these, 418 are negative and 24 are positive (with 23 new cases and 1 re-swab) for COVID-19.

The Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center has released also a total of 36 laboratory results with 33 negative and 3 positive for COVID-19.

COVID-19 ALERT:

111 NEW COVID-19 CASES, ONE (1) DEATH AND 34 RECOVERIES RECORDED TODAY
 
As of 9 AM today, January 23, 2021, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 13, 410, total recoveries at 12, 188 (90.89%) and total deaths at 170 (1.27%). This brings the total active cases to 1,052 (7.84%). 

A total of 111 new cases were recorded out of 1,188 laboratory samples tested in the three (3) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC, DWHVL, and the Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 731 laboratory results. Of these, 676 are negative, and 55 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 375 laboratory results. Of these, 331 are negative and 44 are positive (with 42 new cases and 2 re-swabs) for COVID-19.

The Ormoc Molecular Diagnostic Center has released also a total of 82 laboratory results with 66 negative and 16 positive (with 14 new cases and 2 re-swabs)for COVID-19.
