54 NEW COVID-19 CASES, ONE (1) DEATH AND 24 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON MONDAY
As of 7PM on Monday, November 2, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 6,829, total recoveries at 5,920 (86.69%), and total deaths at 64 (0.94%). This brings the total active cases to 845 (12.37%).

A total of 54 new cases were recorded out of 492 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 362 laboratory results. Of these, 340 are negative and 22 are positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 130 laboratory results. Of these, 96 are negative and 34 are positive for COVID-19 (with 32 new cases and 2 reswabs).

The  54 new confirmed cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:

   Burauen - 3 ( 1 LSI,  2 ROF) 
   Kananga - 1
   Palo - 9

   Villaba - 1 (Close Contact) 

SAMAR (21)
   Calbayog City - 18 (16 Close Contacts,  1 HCW,  1 no detail) 
   Calbiga - 2 (1 HCW,  1 Close Contact) 
   Catbalogan City - 1

EASTERN SAMAR (2)
   Giporlos - 2

NORTHERN SAMAR (2)
   Catarman - 1
   Pambujan - 1

BILIRAN (1)
   Cabucgayan - 1

On the other hand, the new COVID-19 death recorded today is a 60-year-old, male, from Calbayog City who died on October 31, 2020.

Other details will be provided by the concerned LGU.
