LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #225
As of 4PM today, October 25, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 370,028, after 2,223 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 14,944 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 328,036.
Note: Of the 2,223 reported cases today, 2,059 (93%) occurred within the recent 14 days (October 12 - October 25, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (537 or 26%), Region 4A (397 or 19%) and Region 3 (165 or 8%).
Of the 43 deaths, 29 occurred in October (67%), 3 in September (7%) 5 in August (12%) 3 in July (7%) 1 in June (2%) and 2 in May (5%). Deaths were from NCR (16 or 37%), Region 4A (8 or 19%), CARAGA (4 or 9%), Region 3 (3 or 7%), Region 12 (3 or 7%), Region 1 (2 or 5%), Region 9 (2 or 5%), Region 5 (1 or 2%), Region 6 (1 or 2%), Region 7 (1 or 2%), Region 10 (1 or 2%), and Region 11 (1 or 2%).
14 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 9 were recovered cases.
Moreover, 11 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.
16 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 24, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
