LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #204
As of 4PM on Sunday, October 4, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 322,497, after 3,190 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients.
DOH likewise announces 18,065 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 273,079.
Note: Of the 3,190 reported cases today, 2,709 (85%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 21 - October 4, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (994 or 37%), Region 4A (579 or 21%) and Region 3 (305 or 11%).
Of the 100 deaths, 16 occurred in October (16%), 57 in September (57%) 11 in August (11%) 12 in July (12%) 3 in June (3%) and 1 in May (1%). Deaths were from NCR (36 or 36%), Region 4A (28 or 28%), Region 6 (9 or 9%), Region 7 (7 or 7%), Region 5 (5 or 5%), Region 3 (3 or 3%), Region 8 (2 or 2%), Region 11 (2 or 2%), CARAGA (2 or 2%), Region 1 (1 or 1%), Region 10 (1 or 1%), Region 12 (1 or 1%), Region 4B (1 or 1%), and CAR (1 or 1%).
23 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 13 recovered cases and 2 deaths have been removed.
Moreover, 19 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
15 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 3, 2020.
These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
