88 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 31 RECOVERIES RECORDED ON THURSDAY

 






As of 7PM today, October 15, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the region’s total number of COVID-19 cases at 5,644, total recoveries at 4,809 (85.21%), and total deaths at 54 (0.96%). This brings the total active cases to 781 (13.84%).


A total of 88 new cases were recorded out of 1,004 laboratory samples tested in two (2) COVID-19 laboratories in the region, the EVRCTC and DWHVL.


The EVRCTC has released a total of 630 laboratory results. Of these, 568 are negative and 62 are positive for COVID-19.


Meanwhile, the DWHVL has released a total of 374 laboratory results. Of these, 327 are negative and 47 are positive for COVID-19 (with 26 new cases and 21 reswabs).


The 88 new cases are  from the following provinces/cities/municipalities:
