DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #186
As of 4PM today, September 16, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 272,934, after 3,550 cases newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patient.

DOH likewise announces 524 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 207,858.

Note: Of the 3,550 reported cases today, 2,984 (84%) occurred within the recent 14 days (September 3 - September 16, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (1,168 or 39%), Region 4A (808 or 27%) and Region 3 (333 or 11%).Of the 69 deaths, 34 occurred in September (49%), 18 in August (26%) 10 in July (14%) 4 in June (6%) 2 in May (3%) and 1 in April (1%). Deaths were from NCR (24 or 35%), Region 4A (19 or 28%), Region 6 (10 or 14%), Region 7 (6 or 9%), Region 8 (2 or 3%), Region 9 (2 or 3%), Region 12 (2 or 3%), Region 4B (2 or 3%), Region 3 (1 or 1%), and Region 5 (1 or 1%).

There were 23 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 9 recovered cases have been removed.

Moreover, there were nine (9) cases that were previously reported as recovered but after final validation, they were deaths.

7 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on September 15, 2020. These labs are:
1. Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium (TALA)
2. Lanao del Norte Covid-19 Testing Laboratory
3. Las PiƱas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center
4. Metro Iloilo Hospital and Medical Center
5. Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital
6. Safeguard DNA Diagnostics
7. Valenzuela Hope Molecular Laboratory

These numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
