Mandaue City, Cebu - The DGS facility in Brgy. Labogon, Mandaue City which will be used as a detention facility for quarantine protocol violators.
The quarantine health protocols were implemented to safeguard the life and health of the locals in the City of Mandaue, however, a lot of violators has disregard these rules putting the health of the majority of at risk, Mandaue PIO said.
The Mandaue City Police together with the barangay captains and their agents are tasked to apprehend violators (those not wearing facemasks, caught outside their residences without valid reason, those involved in illegal gatherings etc.) and bring them to the facility for booking and filing of proper charges, it added
Let us all comply with the health protocols. They are not intended to give us a hard time but to protect us from the spread of COVID-19, it said.
According to DOH-7 and the City Health Department of Mandaue, the number of CoViD-19 Cases in the city has reached 990. 311 people have recovered and 25 people have died.
