DOH: PH cases now up more than 27,500, recoveries hit more than 7,000

Manila, Philippines - The Department of Health said on Thursday, June 18, that the number of people infected with the CoronaVirus disease in the Philippines is now at 27,799 after the agency reported 562 cases on Thursday.

Among these cases are 481 infected individuals who are considered fresh cases , meaning they have been confirmed and validated within three (3) days. The remaining 81 are considered late, meaning thay are reported more than four (4) days.

There are at least 9 new casualties reported by the agency and that number tops at 1,116, the agency said on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the number of recoveries reported for June 18 are 270, more than 200 recoveries recorded per day for nearly a straight week. The country's recoveries are at 7,090, the DOH said.

🌐The  breakdown of the number of active cases are as follows:

416 - Asymptomatic (2.2%)
18,810 - Mild symptoms (97.4%)
65 - Severe symptoms (0.3%)
19 - Critical condition (0.1%)
Total: 19,310

🌐The breakdown on the number of hospital beds are:

Ward Beds - 3,116 /39.54% occupied
Isolation Beds - 9,364 /35.02% occupied
ICU Beds - 1,279 /33.31% occupied
Ventilator Beds - 1,996 /19.64% occupied
Total: 13,759

🌐The number of testing facilities for CoViD-19 are as follows:

15 - Number of Licensed Gene Expert Labs
156 - total number of Laboratory applications
134 - Number of laboratories at Stage 3 or Higher
86% - Percentage of laboratories Stage 3 or higher
45 out of 59 are the number of RT-PCR Licensed laboratories
