Tropical Depression #OnyokPH (L marked) is moving closer to the Philippines. It is expected to remain offshore but its southern band (trough) (Circled in Yellow) will start to bring cloudy skies and possibly light rains and thunderstorms in #EasternVisayas, particularly #Samar and #Leyte.

But in the most part, the storm inself will RECURVE towards #Japan as a Typhoon.

1. BACOLOD CITY
 - Called the City of Smiles, Bacolod first won the award in 2017. In this edition, the Visayas urban hub had won the Business Friendly/High Returns Award, as well as the Retirement Haven Award. Mayor Evelio Leonardia received the awards, along with other officials.

2. GEN TRIAS CITY
- First Runner-Up was General Trias City, with Mayor Antonio Ferrer leading the entourage.

3. ORMOC CITY
- Second Runner-Up was Ormoc City, with Mayor Richard Gomez expressing surprise as his city picked up the Concrete Ideas Award, which was given earlier on Wednesday.

CEBU TO ORMOC, LEYTE TO CLARK, PAMPANGA FLIGHT!

Beautiful City of Ormoc, Good news!

It is now confirmed that there will be flights to and from Ormoc City to Cebu City and to Clark Air Base, Pampanga. Which is an alternative route for Manila, either for business or schooling or traveling!

September 27 of this year will be the inauguration flight.

FOKKER 50 turboprop aircraft will be used for this route.
